Well, I've modeled this viper about 2years ago, using poly modeling but without blueprints or patterns (yayiii!) and I still consider it as a perfect model capable of great jobs...
I did this artwork when I was thinking how would a bunch of simple objects around the car would affect a good reflection.
I used photoshop for post production, a few works on texturing and color correction...
